As part of the European programme VEGITERRANEO, tasting days in Romania were successfully carried out, aiming to inform consumers and promote the consumption of fresh vegetables in the internal market.
The activity took place in selected Annabella stores in Bucharest and the wider surrounding area, including locations such as Strada Ritmului, Șoseaua Berceni, Calea Văcărești, Strada Constantin Rădulescu-Motru, Șoseaua Pantelimon, Bulevardul Dacia, Strada Știrbei Vodă, Strada Samoilă Dumitru, Șoseaua Giurgiului, as well as stores in Bolintin-Deal, 1 Decembrie, Bragadiru, Pantelimon, Popești-Leordeni and Voluntari. The tastings were implemented between 20 and 27 April 2026, reaching consumers across 15 points of sale.
During the tasting days, consumers had the opportunity to try specially designed individual packages containing high-quality fresh vegetables, including tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. At the same time, trained promotional staff provided information about the programme and distributed informative material, encouraging consumers to include more fresh vegetables in their daily diet.
A special highlight of the activity was the visit of representatives of the Embassy of Greece in Bucharest to the promotional stands, underlining the importance of the initiative for the promotion of European agricultural products and Mediterranean food culture in the Romanian market.
The tasting activities in Romania marked another important step in strengthening the visibility of VEGITERRANEO and bringing European consumers closer to fresh, high-quality products of the Mediterranean land.
